VETERINARY SURGEON (posted 4.12.24)
We are looking for an additional full-time or part-time experienced vet from June 2025 as we move into our brand new premises in Peebles. This person will be confident with all small animal consults, investigating and treating small animal medical conditions, and routine and emergency surgery in a first opinion setting. We would welcome a certificate holder, or someone who might be interested in studying for a certificate.
Although the practice workload is approx 80% small animal, we love being a mixed practice and so the successful applicant would also have some interest in horses and farm animals, and be able to join our 1 in 6 out-of-hours rota covering all species. Back up and assistance can be provided for equine and farm work OOH for as long as required.
What we offer:
full time 4.5 days (37.5 hours) per week, or part time hours to suit
full time salary range £46-58K (including payments for nights on call and call-outs)
1 in 6 out-of-hours rota for nights and weekends (with 2 full days off after a weekend on call)
